Okay, maybe this doesnt work for everyone, but i got like 1.3k followers in 3 days, so here it goes: Kayleighs Guide to #NoComeradesUnder1k , a thread. (At least, what worked for me)

1. People are very visual. People like to laugh. When you tag #NoComradeUnder1k, or when you reply to someone asking for a boost, use a meme. It makes you stand out from other "me please!" Tweets. Like this one. You can use this one even haha.

2. When u search the #NoComradesUnder1k hashtag, it takes u to "Top". But those folks have hundreds of replies! U might get lost in their sea of folks askin for boosts. Try "latest" tweets w the hashtag instead, for smaller accounts!

3. Whats your ratio look like? People are looking. If you have 600 followers but only follow 30 back, folks arent gonna dig it. If you want followers, you gotta follow back.

4. You need a twitter pic, babe! Not comfy w a selfie? Comission an artist to make you one. Pic your fave character. Fave animal. Anything but a grey face!

5. it helped me TONS to put "follows back!" In my twitter name and bio, and for awhile i put #NoComeradesUnder1k in my bio too so people knew I was a friend.

6. And when i couldnt follow back, i put "in twitter jail!" In my fb name so folks knew i wasnt ignoring them. I used the "lists" feature to make lists of folks to follow back later, so no one would get forgotten. I appreciated it when the same was done for me.

7. INTERACT INTERACT INTERACT. Youre here to make friends. I reply to everyone who replies to my tweets. If i cant reply, i at least retweet them to amplify their voice so others can see their ideas. Use your platform.

8. This goes without saying but if your account was made recently folks think youre a bot. if all your tweets are asking for boosts, theyll be hesitant. Be sure to be tweeting your thoughts, too. Its ok if you made a new account just for comrades but maybe put that in your bio?

9. I boosted like 20 people for every 1 boost i asked for. even if you only have 60 followers. Thats 60 people! Boost others, too. I got more followers by offering boosts than by being boosted myself.

10. Finally....its still twitter. Youre still uniquely you. Tweet for the comrades but also we're your friends. Yes i wanna see your cat. Yes, i wanna see what youre having for lunch. Still tweet those things, okay? People love people they can relate to. ♫︎
