Didn't see a single soul talk about Jay Bruce this offseason. Wrote this back in May when the NL DH wasn't a sure thing but was looking inevitable.

He's not the bomb diggity, but he's a cheap source of some bomb diggities.

He's UNLOADING on breaking balls and also crushing fastballs. Last year he was a terrible breaking ball hitter.

Chase% and Swing% down from last year, indicating more patience. Hence the dip in K-rate.

2019 Bruce was a great bargain. 2020 Bruce doing it again.
