It feels good to vent and spill doom all over your timeline when you’re upset at politics, God knows it’s sometimes the only power we have in the moment. And it is YOUR timeline, I’m not going to tell you what you can and can’t tweet. But please, consider, what does it help?
More explicitly, this is about trashing Biden and Harris. I get it, because I was (and am) a much more progressive Bernie supporter, and I'm still bitter that he wasn't the nominee. I don't like Biden or Harris very much, but... what do we do?
If I sit on Twitter all day and trash them as candidates, what good is that accomplishing? I'm very serious about that. What's the positive outcome? Does it help the world in any way? Does it help fight the very real, very serious existential threat of the current administration?
It doesn't really do any good. It feels good in that venting helps release anger and stress, but it's actively harmful.

Look, we've got a choice this November between two candidates. Neither one is your choice, fine. But one of them will fucking end you immediately.
I'm not exaggerating, we're facing a choice between Neoliberalism and outright fascist nationalism. Yeah, I hate Neoliberalism too, we have to fight it... but right now, today, at this moment, as things are, it's more important to fight the fascist than the Neoliberal.
It just struck me that this is the real life Trolly Problem. You get to do that silly meme in real life.

You have the lever in your hands, literally.
Yay for us. How lucky we are *sob*
