The worst part of "Kamala didn't descend from slavery" rhetoric is that people are competing over which form of American/Western imperialism & oppression is most relevant. I don't understand the objective here.

Haitians are Africans in Haiti.
Jamaicans are Africans in Jamaica. US Black ppl are Africans in America,
No matter how much #ADOS denies it.

Referring to Kamala (Commalah) Harris as African American is not incorrect, it's incomplete, but not incorrect.
