Players I think each premier league club should buy(thread)
In this thread I’ll look at each club and suggest a target for a peceived weak area or area that could benefit from a signing pushing the team on. I’ll try to be as realistic as possible taking potential fee, wage demands and whether I think they’ll fit the system into account
Arsenal
Player:Thomas Partey
Position:CM
Partey has been linked with arsenal and I do believe he’d provide something they have lacked in midfield for a while and that being physicality. His physicality matched with his technical ability would prove vital for arsenal at times
Aston Villa
Player:Jeremiah St. Juste
Position:CB
For me for villa to become more secure they need to tighten up and a good partner with Mings can help. St.Juste is rapid and would give better cover for Mings than Konsa and Engels. He also offers much better output than both.
Brighton
Player:Mohamed Camara
Position:CM
I think Brighton should bolster in midfield and have someone next to Bissouma who can go forwards and back. Camara is that he covers lots of ground and is better defending and a bigger threat than propper with more shots and dribbles P90
Burnley
Player:Angelo Fulgini
Positions:CM,RW,RB
I think Burnley need an outball especially in big games to relieve some pressure,Fulgini is this.He is an excellent dribbler and will carry the ball up the pitch, win fouls and be able to create something through dribbling alone.
Crystal Palace
Player:Ebere Eze
Positions:LW,AM,CM
Palace lack creativity in midfield Eze would help this considering he has 1.8 key passes per game.He would also be able to fill the LW spot left if Zaha goes playing the same way getting palace up the pitch and relieving pressure
Chelsea
Player:Thomas Strakosha
Position:GK
Chelsea desperately need a keeper with Kepa statistically being the worst in the league. Strakosha is a much better shot stopper and is competent with his feet a requirement for a team like Chelsea. Crosses can be a bit suspect however.
Everton
Player:Ibrahim Sangare
Positions:DM,CM
Everton need mobility and physicality in the midfield with the player being able to win the ball back and play it forwards quickly. This is why I’ve chose Ibrahim Sangare. With him being 6’4,strong and fast he’d harden up the midfield
Fulham
Fabien Centonze
Position:RB
I don’t think Fulham’s RB area is that strong and with Denis Odoi aging it makes sense to get a new one in.Centonze is great defensively being very strong in the tackle and could be a big use when Fulham find themselves backed up in their half.
Leeds United
Player:Callum Wilson
Position:ST
Leeds for me need a more clinical striker but he still needs to be a willing presser which Callum Wilson is.Wilson knows the league and has experience of being in a potential relegation battle. This experience could prove to be massive
Leicester City
Player:Calvin Stengs
Position:RW
They lack depth and creativity from the wings. Stengs would add depth, creativity and another dimension to Leicester being left footed and a good dribbler.Ayoze presses more but Stengs still has a good amount of recoveries P90
Liverpool
Player:Thiago
Position:CM
Liverpools midfield can be rigid at times and not good enough going forwards causing them to struggle more than they should in some games. With Thiago they could have the best CM ITW capable of doing it all and breaking the lines with his passes
Man City
Player:Kalidou Koulibaly
Position:CB
City have really struggled in the centre back department this season and Koulibaly could fix this. Being great physically, good on the ball and defensively he shouldn’t struggle to adapt. Most importantly he is a lot less error prone
Man united
Player:Ibrahima Konate
Position:CB
United need a centre back partner with lots of pace to cover for Maguire and Konate has this in abundance. He’s a much more active defender than Lindelof which is why he’d be ideal since he’d be across instantly if maguire was beat.
Newcastle United
Player:Alfredo Morelos
Position:ST
The Newcastle striker is usually quite alone most of the game and has to be willing to chase balls all over the pitch and have the aggression to trouble defenders.Morelos fits this bill and is a better finisher than Joelinton.
Sheffield United
Player:Adrien Hunou
Position:ST
Sheffield United are very solid at the back but didn’t have strikers all that good at finishing. Hunou is a very willing presser is which is needed and typically takes his chances well. This could push Sheff United a bit higher up
Southampton
Player:Baptiste Santamaria
Position:CM/DM
Southampton need to replace PEH and Santamaria would be a good one. He covers ground very well and has good defensive output and good at moving the ball forwards or recycling possession so his team keeps hold of the ball.
Spurs
Player:Youcef Atal
Positions:RB,RW,LW
If spurs are going to continue to use a RWB it could be perfect for atal with licence to get forwards with the extra cover. He’s a good dribbler with great pace and has end product but most importantly a lot less error prone than Aurier
WBA
Player:Bright Osayi-Samuel
Position:RW/LW
Osayi-Samuel will pop up on both sides throughout a game meaning he should be able to replace Diangana. He has great pace and a good dibbler and similar creative output but not as good at scoring. He should still replace Diangana well
West Ham
Player:Jayden Bogle
Position:RB
Bogle has great pace and a great engine and offers lots of overlaps on the right.Hes confident with the ball at his feet willing to take people on. He’ll certainly contribute attacking wise.He was involved in 9.7% of Derby’s goals in 19/20
Wolves
Name:Marash Kumbulla
Position:CB
Wolves lack squad depth in various areas one of these being CB. With Saiss being 30 Kumbulla would be a good replacement already bettering the Moroccans defensive output. At 20 Kumbulla has plenty of time to work on his progressive side.
