A critical incident has been declared by hospitals in Gloucestershire due to "relentless demand" in emergency care & new ways of working in response to coronavirus. People are being asked only to attend A&E at Gloucestershire Royal if condition is serious or life-threatening 1/3

Earlier today there was a 4 hour waiting time for A&E at Gloucester. This has now dropped to 2 hours with 60 people waiting to be treated 2/3

The incident comes after the Hospitals Trust downgraded Cheltenham General's A&E in June in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The Trust says it is confident the temporary changes are making services safer 3/3
