i flopped a-levels, lost my med school place, cried, went through clearing to a different uni, graduated & now i'm at one of the best med schools in the country. remember direction over speed - a different path can still get you to the same destination don't worry

#AlevelResults
remember some uni's have already listed clearing places. have a contingency plan or even try for another course/uni if you want. i ended up having 11 offers from clearing. even good uni's who said no at first, called after a few days cus they still had space

find vacancies early, write down your UCAS number & save the uni's numbers on your phone so you can ring first thing in the morning. even if you have an offer, if the uni's you like who rejected you at the start of the year have places - ring & ask, don't settle!

#ALevelResults
if you're in clearing & a uni gives you an offer, ask them to email it you + the link where you can accept the offer. if ur unhappy, ring other uni's, say you haven't got anything & accumulate offers. as you can see I got offers after my results day too (the 18th)

another thing is even if you see requirements a little higher than your results, still ring. your GCSEs give you points which might make you reach the point criteria needed to get into the uni. just ask, be confident, sell yourself/show interest on the phone

#ALevelResults
oh & if you feel hard done by your college teachers, ring uni's clearing lines DIRECTLY. if they reject you ask to speak to course lecturers or directors sell & explain your situation, they'll understand. don't just let a temp handling the phone turn you away
