I am a devotee. A kaanha devotee specifically. Following my religion & being a devotee = Politics and makes me a religious fanatic and a bhakt or anything else, please, shoo off. And if you are open minded and still think this, eduacte yourself and introspect

I went from aethist believer in a few years and believer devotee in about a year. I am proud of this fact and being a devotee has bought me nothing but peace and helped me on the path of self discovery & understanding life. There is no going back for me now.

Please don't go on just assuming that every person who is religious is a bigot and a fanatic and blind and stupid, irrational and everything else that people have to say for religious people.

Religion isn't the problem. People using their religion to justify their wrongdoings,People not following their dharma,the skewed definition of dharma,The thinking that being religious makes you superior is the problem.And being an aethist doesn't mean you make fun of believers

The inability to introspect & acknowledge and work to correct the flaws in your dharma is the problem. The thinking that your religion is superior is the problem. Religion isn't the problem. Religion never teaches you all of this. Don't hate on religion.

Religion is a path for finding peace for many. Religion is a hope for many. It is the guiding force of many people,a way of living life for many. It is something very important, an indispensable part of their lives,happiness,love, faith,belief for many. Religion isn't a sham.

What you may have seen is one side of the story. For many religion is singing bhajans and remembering their god. It is about pooja and bhaav.(worship & emotions) It is about peace, spiritually and tranquility. [This is what religion is for me]

Religion is about the faith that there is someone - omnipresent, always with us, wh always has our back. Religion is about visiting the temple just to see that murti and to experience that blissful peace and environment of a temple.

It is about devotee association. It is about mantras and chanting. It is talking about your god with other devotees and feeling blessed. It is about the faith that god understands us - and has the best in store for me.
