Armys owe a big apology to Namjoon; a thread
The discrediting of Namjoon and how much we “praise Namjoon too much”. Namjoon doesn’t work hard for BTS and army just to be discredited like this. It happens more then we think and it needs to stop.
Generally, being pretentious is used as a negative term , since it comes with a certain arrogance and an undeserved sense of entitlement. So apparently to them, N**joon is pretentious, he’s “entitled” and “that’s why we love him”... no
After Dionysus performance at the MMA 2019, armys started making several tweets laughing, making fun of, and only giving attention to what happened with the septer, rather then speaking about more important things like his performance and hard work. It was so much and so bad+
+that it even reached articles that talked about it too. Yeah great job on promoting our leader. The only thing talked about that night was the incident... imagine him going on social media and only seeing people talk about this
When some armys use Namjoon’s looks to make “funny” tweets comparing him or for example, purposely cropping his face to make him look like this. They gave the tweet 100K plus likes which included most armys... read tweets before you like or engage at all
Namjoon being in problematic men also gave him hate for the absolute dumbest reason. The hate went to reddit. “Praise all the members” they said “I’m not an RM anti” but then they go on their agenda of hating on him. They watched one tiny part of PM and claimed he did nothing.
Apparently people that aren’t Namjoon know more about his abilities and intelligence then himself
This speaks for itself as well. Questioning Namjoon’s English and the way he works with his music. “Not strong lyrically”
belittling the hard work namjoon puts into each album and reducing him to a mere translator. Namjoon doesn’t work hard and overworks himself for him to be known just as a “translator”.
T/W: mentions of de/ath
The immense amount of hate he got for posting a picture on weverse where Taehyung wasn’t in. Weverse was filled with many threats and hardsstment towards him

Some armys also wanted to trend “where’s Taehyung” but were asked not too, considering the fact that most of the ones using the tag were giving hate towards Namjoon
Bent on perpetuating this harmful image of him when he is just the opposite of what they think he is. They try and make him have a bad imagine that can be used negatively by others like antis
Lets not forget the many tweets where they make Namjoon seem someone that would “catcall” a person knowing that’s something that can make people very feel uncomfortable and unsafe, giving him an image that is harmful
Using Namjoon falling and possibly getting hurt as a funny meme moment for tweets. It’s even more funny when some armys themselves were asking BTS to be careful on stage because of the rain but it happens to Namjoon and it doesn’t matter..
Videos of him falling, tripping, being clumsy or “messing up on a dance move” are used more for jokes and making fun of him. And armys give those tweets attention and make them go viral. It’s ok to joke around but know your limits.
Making fun of N//mjoon’s English, judging his English, mocking it etc. some even went to the point of accusing him of using an accent when speaking. his English is better then anyone I’ve ever seen and it’s not even his first language so..
When Namjoon posted on weverse that he has been cooking and posted a picture of his dish, armys went around making fun of it and judging him. Imagine being proud and wanting to show army what you made only to have responses saying “it looks bad” “you tried your best” etc...
A really big tiktoker posting the meme once again using it for n\\joon. This is what happens when you give those tweets attention and make them go viral. They reach other platforms and think it’s harmless. Don’t even get me started on the comments...
The jokes about his driving... where do I even start. They use the “he doesn’t have a license yet” to joke about it, make fun of him, mock him and obviously those tweets come from big accounts and go viral. “We dont want a car accident”....
Namjoon has mentioned many times before that he doesn’t have a license and it makes him a bit nervous. We don’t know what he feels about it now which is why it’s important to stop assuming and just stop with the jokes.
After it was announced that he was going to perform at the Grammys with lil nas x, many were hating on him and saying he would “humiliate” BTS because they didn’t get the stage they deserved making it seem as if Namjoon was the one to have a choosing for the performance
Many were angry too because apparently nam has BTS as backup dancers and not main. They didn’t like the fact that nam was going to be the “only one performing” when in reality they all performed at the Grammys
When Namjoon has his UN speech WITH BTS, many questioned why didn’t the other members participate or why was it him that had to give it. They kept saying that the other members had potential as well when no one was saying they didn’t... just another thing to hate on him
Lets talk about his streaming :)
When it comes to Namjoon’s music it’s always been the lowest. He still doesn’t have a single MV with 100M or more. Fanbases work hard every day and get little engagement.

Remember last years Namjoon’s streaming birthday goals? Half of them weren’t even accomplished. His birthday is very soon and one of the main goals is to reach Intro persona 70M views. It’s stuck at 66M. We should ask for more right? Because army is a big fandom? But we don’t+
+because we know how hard it is for Namjoon’s music to get engagement.
Whenever some armys speak up about his music being the lowest and his music being underrated, there’s always that one person that uses mono’s 100 as an excuse “YouTube views don’t matter, mono has 100 at least”. So what if it does? Can’t we work hard for Namjoon on more+
+platforms to thank him and appreciate his hard work he does for BTS and army?
And no. I’m not a solo stan. I make threads of every single member just like this where most have crossed the line and their limits as fans.
