<Thread on Karma>
I recently came across a thread where a Hindu minister was criticized for saying diseases like Cancer are caused by Karma. Naturally, he faced a lot of heat, especially from libturds who had cancer patients in their families. So, here's a ready reckoner 1/n
Karma, in the context mentioned above, was interpreted as "sin". One couldn't be more wrong. Karma is all-encompassing, can be loosely translated as "action", both active and passive. Fruits of Karma (Karma-phala) must be distinguished from Karma too. 2/n
Karma is of many types, but the 2 most important ones are 1. Sanchita Karma-Karma accrued over all lifetimes and 2. Prarabdha Karma-Karma that is ready for reaping fruits. Therefore, not all Karma is acting right now, and Karma accrued in this lifetime needn't bear fruit now 3/n
Karma includes not only the narrow definition of "sin" as described by abrahmic religions (adultery, stealing etc.) but also actions one performs in due course of his lifetime. Therefore, even mundane activities like breathing and walking also generate and accrue under 4/n
sanchita karma (think of all the germs and insects killed in the act). Even eating accrues Karma based on how the gut bacteria is impacted.. so on and so forth. And you thought Karma was easy to escape! No wonder then the Gita expends so much time discussing Karma! 5/n
This being the case, there is no escaping Karma, good or bad. Further, there is Karma we perform "against" our own bodies - smoking, drinking, drugs etc, which also bear fruit. As anyone who has lived long enough to see, not all smoker get COPD or lung cancer. Yet, many do 6/n
Thus, the time and place for the strike is Karma's, and Karma's alone, to choose. It could strike you in this life, or the next, or after many births. It could strike one during the neonatal period,youth,or old age. The only thing you can be certain of is that it will strike 7/n
Libturds gleefully use "karma" when their foe takes a fall (check how many are saying Amit Shah got coronavirus due to Karma), but are loathe to attribute karma to their own downfall and demise. Alas, such is the hypocrisy of libturds. 8/n
FAQs
1. I do not believe in Karma. Does it still affect me?
A - Since I'm a believer, I believe it does. You're free not to believe in Karma.

2. How do I escape Karma?
A - Scope is wayyy beyond this thread. Gita is a good place to start learning the "how to". 9/n
