I love this customer acquisition model for Qwetu through referrals by Taxi Hailing Driver’s like Uber

How it works
Qwetu , a company that provides accommodation facilities for students, engages taxi hauling drivers (and other strategic partners) to advertise their services within their vehicles/premises in return for commissions from referrals
In this case, the driver has a unique code, that, if used to sign up for Qwetu, using the specialized referral link, will entitle the driver to a share of some of the revenue eg % commission
The driver potentially earns passive income by simply recommending the service to a wide range of riders

If you think about it, this cld be for any service where the riders profile fits the target audience of the advertisers

Eg Qwetu and students
In the long run, you can expect Taxis, matatus, buses to optimize whatever space and time they have to earn extra revenues to cover for decline in revenues due to corona and a slow economy
In my mid this is part of a bigger trend of re-distributing value to people from centralized agencies like (advertisers)

I tweeted about it on this thread https://twitter.com/pesa_africa/status/1292096894097928192?s=21
