Why I think TXT have some of the best choreographies in K-POP;

Disclaimer: I’m not discrediting other groups. I also haven’t seen every other groups choreographies so I do say MOST GROUPS, meaning a majority of the groups I have seen.

I’m also not an expert on dance or visuals or anything. This is purely my observation.
1: To start off, the number of members they have plays a role in this. They have a very pleasing amount of members. They have enough to dominate the stage and have an amazing presence. They have few enough that you can take in the whole performance very easily.
Because of how many members they have, the distribution for the centre is fairly even, which is something I assume some groups with a lot of members struggle with. They have an odd number of members so their positions are very satisfying to the eye.
You can pay attention to the middle while also seeing what’s happening on each side. It isn’t too much to take in.
2: Their ‘stunt’ moves. They do a lot of moves that require cooperation, focus, and trust.
Examples:
From most of the performances I’ve seen, no group goes as far as to do things like this. It brings a surprising element to the choreo and it leaves you in awe at how something like this could be incorporated into a choreography.
3: Possibly my favourite thing about TXT’s choreographies is their use of not only depth and width, but height as well. Most groups I have seen use the basic depth and width of the stage, but something that sticks out about TXT is their use of height.
An example of their use of height is in Can’t You See Me, at the beginning, where they all start sitting and then they lay down, leaving Beomgyu sitting which uniquely draws your attention to him in a way that not many groups do.
Not only this, but in every choreography, I can think of one example where they use height and the differences in height to uniquely draw attention towards a certain person. Of course I’ve seen other groups use height, but it’s different when TXT does it.
When I see most other groups use height, the whole group does it as a dance move or a transition point, but when TXT use height, they use it to draw attention to a certain person in a very difference and unique way.
Most groups I’ve seen use they typical centre position to draw attention to a certain member, but TXT use height so that they don’t even necessarily have to be in the centre. Most times they are, but when they aren’t, that’s just an even better way to use height to draw the eye.
4: Their moves are catchy. A weird thing to say, yes, but imagine hearing a song and knowing the tune of the chorus after hearing it once. It’s the same with a few of their moves. You’re lying if you say you’ve listened to Run Away and you haven’t done this iconic move:
They have difficult choreographies to execute, but they also have these small simple bits that you find yourself doing whenever you listen to the song.
