Pete was thoroughly underqualified and had no chance of winning. he ran a vanity campaign for the national press. the main person that hurt was Warren. 2

Buttigieg took a lot of her educated white suburban voters.

if he hadn't done that, it's pretty easy to see a bunch of scenarios in which she would have at least had a chance to beat Biden.

she still might have been done in by SC, but it could have been very close.
