I did not expect this tweet to blow up like this and it's disheartening but not surprising that so many people resonated with it.

Reading all of your childhood (and current) experiences w/ similar micro-agressions has been sobering in a way that's not uncommon..
Micro-agressions are not "micro" at all. They're manifestations of racist culture fed comments, stereotypes, and observed treatment of Black people by friends, family, teachers, the media, and the system.
