The Second Quarter was incredibly insane.

I was going on month 3 of isolation. My company laid off nearly 2,000 people. I was suffering from survivors guilt & felt no right to cry since I wasn’t laid off. A few weeks later, my childhood friend would lose her close friend, George Floyd, in a public lynching... (2 of ?)

In the midst of this, my brother and really good friend @ChrisLyons invited me to @joinClubhouse an app where people talked to each other in real time. Like the old school party lines from 1999...yes I’m dating myself ... (3 of ?)

On my 1st day on @joinClubhouse, I was warmly welcomed by @tinaasgari and @edaz ...(if we were a fraternity/sorority, they would be my Prophytes). An hour later I was teased (but in love) by @scooterbraun (Mt Kilimanjaro day trek ) & loved by @shwetak_ (An Angel ). (4 of ?)

@Thogori is my Line Sister because we started on the same day. And I remember feeling vulnerable with @Jnyflower on Day 1 and having a powerful vulnerable conversation about the last time we cried and why. She’s my Sister now. (5 of ?)

I was so scared to walk to the post office that @KatieS drove 1 hour to walk me 1 block. And to bring it full circle, @FeliciaHorowitz brought the @BishopJakes and @DeepakChopra on @joinClubhouse to discuss spirituality and navigating the new normal. I nearly cried... (6 of ?)

Actually... I did cry.

Because they spoke to the emotions I was having trying to walk in God’s purpose yet feeling so woefully inadequate due to the physical constraints around connectivity and feeling somewhat aimless in my movement.

There are so many people that I can’t fit in this post that have become my family.

It was nice to talk to people instead of the birds on my balcony lol.

I felt a sense of healing, a sense of belonging, and I felt instant community.
