Frugality is not a sacrifice, extravagant spending is the TRUE sacrifice.

Hear me out

1/ THREAD
While my peers were playing Call of Duty, drinking at bars & buying new cars, I learned that I can live on much less compared to others my age.

If I never embraced frugality, it would& #39;ve taken me forever to become debt free.

Frugality got me thinking about the best thing to do with my new found cashflow.

Otherwise, who knows when I would& #39;ve learned about basic personal finance, DIY investing, or real estate investing - let alone write about it.

4/
All the new memories shared in the 2nd home would& #39;ve never happened.

I would& #39;ve never saved or spent the $ for Lasik surgery.

I would& #39;ve never built enough of a financial runway for a business.

Lastly, I would not be on track for achieving stealth wealth before 40https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤞" title="Crossed fingers" aria-label="Emoji: Crossed fingers">

6/
Some would argue that I sacrificed my late 20& #39;s by working too much and not enjoying myself enough.

I would argue that I have enjoyed laying the foundation for my 30& #39;s and beyond.

Doing anything else would& #39;ve been the REAL sacrifice.
