to preface, this is my family's next door neighbour. so our houses are side by side! now that im making this thread i actually cant remember what our neighbour's name is. but anyway the first incident we've had with him is that he NEVER parks on his driveway and always parks on-
-the street (no big deal, anyone can park on the street). HOWEVER, where we live, its common curtesy to park as close to the car in front of you as you can, just so another car can park behind you and he always takes up what could be a space for 3 cars
so, in this instance, my dad parked pretty close to our neighbour's car on the street so he was far enough away from the fire hydrant. the following morning, our neighbour left a rudely-worded note on my dad's car asking him not to park so close to him.
but 1. he has a garage, and a driveway that can fit two cars and 2. he parks like a jackass on the street??? pick a struggle sir. this incident isnt that bad, it just leads very nicely to the next incident.
so each member of our household owns a car (4 total) so my mom and dad usually park on the driveway and my sister and i park on the street. however, quite frequently, our neighbour parks his car on the street in front of our house, blocking our driveway-
i wish i was kidding, he literally blocks my dad from parking in his own driveway. my dad has asked him multiple times to park elsewhere because 1. he cant park in his own driveway and 2. thats against city bylaws. but our neighbour continues to do it anyways
the next incident is that our houses (on the sides that are closest to each other) each have a gate. our house has a gate, and our neighbour has his own gate to enter the side of the house that will lead to both of our private backyards!
we have a dog, meaning our gate is ALWAYS CLOSED we never use it, let alone open it. for a while now, my dad will come home from work and our side gate will be wide open, meaning someone has been using it (and it isnt us)
we set up a camera at the side of our house to see who it was using our gate.... and you guessed it! our neighbour was using OUR GATE, EVEN THOUGH HE HAS HIS OWN RIGHT. BESIDE. OURS. and he leaves it open afterwards??????????
once again, my dad kindly asked him to stop using our gate because we have a dog and we dont want her getting out. he didnt stop so our gate is now ziptied closed
