I've spent the last week making stuff from the incredible amount of yellow plums produced by our tree. Ginger/plum jam. Plum freezer jam. Plum chutney. And spicy plum sauce. I never want to see another f-ing plum again, but dammit if that ginger/plum jam isn't delish w cheese.
I'd have left all the fruit on the tree except for the fact that a rat (rats?) have been running up the tree to chomp on the fruit. CURSE THEM.
I resent every moment I spend cooking those DAMN PLUMS but afterwards I'm rather pleased with the result so, YAY, I guess?
This is just to say...

I have cooked, canned (and frozen)
the GDMN PLUMS
that were in
the GIANT FREAKING TREE in the backyard

and which
you were probably
saving
to eat with your tiny rat teeth.

TOO BAD, RAT-BASTARD
they are delicious
so sweet (or hot)
and so gingery.
