what if you can't tell the difference between neurotypical and neuroatypical until you stare at the word for like five whole minutes :| this is Bad for my brain actually https://twitter.com/heyyadoraa/status/1293321032292610048
there are NO sources on this? all I found was that people used to say "non-autistic/autistic" and then instead use "neurotypical/autistic" and then realized there were things other than autism that made u not neurotypical so they started saying "neuroAtypical" instead but bc +
that was difficult to read and so similar to it's antonym they started using "neurodiverse" which then became "neurodivergent"
...and that's from QUORA but it's all I could find?? so either neurodiverse means the same as "neuroAtypical" or someone needs to explain to me bc huh
I meant "neurodivergent means the same as neuro <A> typical" sorry my brain is fried
also I keep rereading these and thinking I used NT instead of the other one so I can't even make sense of this thread anymore :] my head decided to give up on both n replaced them w white noise
