what's up it's time for me to talk about this scene™ again
-a #tsukiyama thread by yours truly
whenever we see kei walking from the gymnasium to the school, the moon is always behind clouds so you don't see it; it's clearly symbolizing kei (he is named after the moon after all) and how he has closed himself off of many things, from volleyball to his family
(1/8)
he thinks that volleyball isn't 'worth the trouble' he's trying to find a good reason to work hard but he Just Cant
Well that's untill yamaguchi comes along and throws his logic out the window and gives him A Reason™
(2/8)
back to the moon symbolism, what was once before a dark scene is now bright, the moon that was behind the clouds is ready to come out
the moon shines on yams first, it's bc he's the one who gave him a reason, the push he needed to talk to bokuto kuroo and akaashi
(3/8)
this scene is important for yams as well, we see how much he has grown. the person whod say sorry to everything is gone now he's here to tell his best friend to get his act together
(4/8)
You can't talk about this scene without talking about how tsukki and yamaguchis relationship changes after this
(5/8)
let's compare this moment to the nekoma match
I wouldn't say that kei looks down on yams but it's clear that they don't have the best power dynamic (I will talk abt that on another day) but you can clearly see how they've changed from THIS
(6/8)
tsukki ACTUALLY recognizes yams & openly talks about how good he is and the majority of yams' 'sorry tsukki's turns into sarcasm and teasing (not pictured)
(7/8)
anyways long story short, this scene is a Huge changing point for tsukishima and his relationship with yamaguchi. And I like thinking about it A Lot
