When recording screencasts, There are usually 2 types of approaches:

1. Record screen and then do a voice over
2. Record both simultaneously, but doing one step at a time while taking pauses between each step

I use a different technique https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇🏼" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten (mittelheller Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten (mittelheller Hautton)">

recording audio and the screen separately sounds really good. You can read a script and your life will be easy

However, the problem with voiceovers is that it& #39;s so hard to match the pace of the screen recording.

So you end up doing a lot of work when recording your voice
On the other hand, recording both the screen and the audio one step at a time is very easy to edit. You can find the fails and remove them.

However, (for me) I find it hard to get right. That& #39;s because I can& #39;t do two things at once. (code + voiceover).
So from my POV, both approaches are hard.
One is hard in the production phase, and the other in post-production.

But it doesn& #39;t have to be this way. Here& #39;s how I do it:
Code. Pause. Narrate

When editing, all I need to do is grab the voiceover and decide where I want it to start

I don& #39;t mess up or forget what I want to say, and I& #39;m not doing two things at once

This is a combination of the 2 approaches and works perfectly for me.
Here& #39;s what my process looks like when editing
