OKAY so I started watching yugioh on Netflix becuase I wanted to watch some classic mid 200s stank anime (in its awfully dubbed glory) and am 2 episodes in and absolutely losing my mind at this dumb show

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS SHOW IMPLIES THAT THE CARD GAME WAS INVENTED BY ANICENT EGYPTIANS

ALSO DUDE SURE DID JUST KILL YUGIS GRANDAD SO HE COULD WHAT??? GET THIS KID TO PLAY WITH HIM???

Also the voice acting is a whole other thing and I love it, this is exactly the stank I hoped for

For context: I know literally nothing about the show itself except yugi gets possessed sometimes by a literal Egyptian god??? That’s it that’s all I know my only exposure is watching my friends play the card game itself

And also listening to Karina from Drawfee occasionally talking about it

I’m sorry for this long ass thread BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS EXPECTING, also I like Joey, his dumb voice and dumb energy amuses me

ALSO not to be a kakashi simp but the MOMENT I saw maximillian my thoughts were “wow silver hair and stank eye,,, just like kakashi”

So far I’ve only been able to watch one episode a night, becuase I just need time to process what I’m watching
