someone described Mad Max Fury Road to me as “michael bay’s wet dream” and I’ve never felt so bad for someone’s sad, pessimistic, uninspired view of cinema before in my life

4/? the movie itself was not written, really, it was story boarded- which creates a visual dynamic that not only George Miller who, since 199(8?) was working to perfect and translate, but that other experts working within the medium could immediately understand for themselves
5/? Let’s go back to #2 for a second- practical effects. how many movies can you think of right now in the last 20 years have had that much love and labor and grief poured into practical effects? to have used cgi as an *editing* tool, a *refining* finisher rather than a safe bet?
