I'm about to sleep when this thought suddenly hits me.

Countless BL series arisen, and keep on arising, right after 2gether: The Series ended because just like SOTUS: The Series, it paved way and brought more exposure regarding how a same sex couple works.

And as of the moment, we have multiple local BL series that was produced by different companies and for me, I became genuinely happy because as a SOGIE Equality Bill advocate, it feels rewarding to know that there will be a show that will highlight and showcased how it feels like

to be in a same sex relationship. It feels rewarding in a way where it felt like all the hardships and judgement we tolerated is somehow having a progress.

I'm genuinely happy and proud of the little progress we've made.

But, also, I can't help but think that maybe the reason

why there are countless local BL series that was produced, being produced, about to get produce, is because it was the trend and market as of the moment.

It saddens me to think that maybe the reason why they're doing this is only because of the profit and not because our country

is becoming more progressive and diverse.

And it's more saddening to know if there are heterosexual actors who force themselves to star in a BL series for the sake of popularity and not because they want to have more deep understanding regarding LGBTQIA+ cry for equality.

Y'all may find this thread as non-sense and silly but it really is painful for me, for us SOGIE Equality Bill advocates, because it feels like the work we've had made are being taken lightly and nothing serious.

And due to this thought, it made me came up with a question.

Is it still possible for us to produce a local BL series without the influence from the outside?

Is it still possible for every same sex relationship here in our country to be openly and proud of their relationship without the influence from the outside?

Is it still possible for us to attain and prosper such acceptance and diversity without the influence from the outside?

I already said this, and probably will continue to repeat it,

The trend isn't about SEXUAL PREFERENCE but about ACCEPTANCE and DIVERSITY.

p.s. I'm not discrediting nor invalidating anyone's hardships and hardwork regarding the BL series they've had produced because this thread I created is just a two cents of mine.
