Republicans didn’t just “fail to manage” the pandemic. They ACTIVELY undermined efforts to manage it. They withheld tests in blue states in hopes that deaths would spike and hurt Dem governors. They went out of their way to overturn mask orders. They reopened schools.

They told people that children were “almost immune”. They launched attacks against Fauci that led to his family getting death threats. They fucking STOLE PPE that states ordered after telling states it was their responsibility to order it. This is not failure. It’s sabotage.

For fuck’s sake, they spent months telling people that it was no worse than the flu and that they could cure it by snorting hydroxychloroquine and bleach.
