The thing I appreciate most about Oikawa's final line is that it narrows the scope of things. We've just finished the grandest match in the history of the series, watching two division 1 teams go at it and pull out an intense arsenal of explosive, large scale weapons we have
never seen before. We're heading into the Olympics, the most significant, colossal, awe-inspiring event in the history of the sporting world, something that unites the entire earth and extends beyond any and all borders. This is it. The most monumental moment in the series.
And then we see Oikawa Tooru, starting setter for the Argentinian national team, one of the highest ranked teams in this sport, strutting out onto the stage in all of his kingly glory and what does he say?

"Are you ready? This is going to be one extravagant family quarrel."
And suddenly...it's not about the global stage. It's not about the world, or Argentina or Japan. It's about Oikawa, Kageyama, Hinata, Ushijima, Iwaizumi. It's about these boys from this single city in this single prefecture of Japan, and their journey and their growth and their
relationship. Their rivalry, their friendship, their camaraderie. It's about the way they've helped each other bloom, nourished each other's skills enough that they could all stand on this one court together. It's about the way that all of them helped each other see what was
beyond that tall, tall wall. It's not about the grandiosity of the Olympic world stage, it's about the relationship between these boys, these beautiful, passionate, talented boys from the Miyagi Prefecture who are standing on that stage because of each other.
