I think the local media continually blaming the best players for the teams' results on shallow teams without a lot of good players shows that the local media isn't trying hard enough.

The local media is only worried about getting their cherry time and cookies, they're not willing to go into the corners and find the real story, they coast on the back check (research), they leave their check (the actual story) to go to the puck carrier, (2/

They constantly puck watch (go after the best players), they fail to get in the passing lanes (ignore poor rosters), and the avoid blocking shots (asking why the bottom 6 gives up everything the top 6 creates)

Maybe they're the ones who should be run out of town?
