Also, let me say something that is probably going to piss off my Lefty siblings.
People need to understand, by the very nature of becoming President of the United States, you become the head of an imperialistic machine that will operate in vicious ways with or without you.
You will also have to operate in a universe where there a re millions of people who will shoot themselves in the foot so that Black and brown people do not see benefits. Those people vote, and they organize too. Those people are also that presidents constituents. like it or not
So this election is just one step in a much larger process. But here's the gag about politicians. Most of them if they value their jobs will listen to the will of the people if the people make enough noise, that's not to say it will be easy, but they do.
So Biden wasn't my 1st,2nd, 3rd, or even 4th pick for President, But he can be organized, which is more than we can say about the sack of shit sitting in the Whitehouse.
And honestly, that's the only thing we can count on, our ability to build power and organize for the things that our people deserve. Is it exhausting? Absolutely, is it fair? NOPE, but it is what it is until we can topple it.
Here's the other gag, most people just aren't where a lot of us are politically. Which means we have to do the work to decolonize minds and do the groundwork to get them there.
Supporting Biden isn't about me thinking he's good, it's about understanding that if we stay under this administration, the only other option towards freedom may be one that a lot of us are not ready for. Biden gives us a path to organize and continue to shift power
That's just my two sense, happy to be dragged to the end of the earth over this take if people disagree
