My concern for whether my business can survive what's to come has been escalating over the past couple of weeks. Worst case, the industry we love & work in will be decimated, recovery could take years.

Now more than ever, we have to put purpose and people before profit.

Making a profit for me has always been something I've had turmoil over. Every accelerator, every entrepreneur hub, every mentor wants to talk about your profits.

But, what about 'enough', what if we make enough money so everyone is paid well. If that's the aim, it's all simpler.

Right now, I'd rather keep my whole team in a job and do the work that matters to us, than worry about what dividends I can take, or the profits I can quote at a networking event.

This is why I don't get invited to 'start-up' networking events.
