look this is an unpopular opinion but im so damn tired of creators making their wlw characters feminine. give me a butch dyke for once. please. im so fucking tired.

im not trying to say we dont need fem(me) lesbian characters but im so tired of people recognizing only 1 (one) part of the lesbian experience and patting themselves on the back like they solved homophobia

in fact, we need to have a talk about how a LOT of queer representation portrays feminine traits as the Only Way To Be Queer and throws masculinity under the bus because theres no way queer masculinity exists

dont mistake this thread for me saying we no longer need feminine queer experiences represented (we do) but when that is the ONLY experience that is represented in the few media that chooses to recognize queer experience AT ALL, its no wonder i didnt know i was butch for so long

like for fucks sake its no wonder im a simp for teddy altman when being masculine is part of his queer experience, and no one hides that fact.
