A lot of what people call identity politics are really politics concerning representation.
nOT TO Keep going on about this but identity politics were created by Black feminists to center the most marginalized, with an anti-imperialism, capitalist analysis. Its not just about electing Black people, its about changing the material conditions of Black people's lives.
Kamala winning this, isnt identity politics, at least the way that identity politics were created and intended to use.

The reason I go on about this is because I'm tired of losing our words, theories, work, etc to white people who dont know what they mean.
