A THREAD. https://twitter.com/btzfessions/status/1293275210058260480
Marijuana/Cannabis is organic in the sense that it is grown.
The main psychoactive component of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is one of the 483 known compounds in the plant, including at least 65 other cannabinoids, including cannabidiol (CBD). (1/?)
So how does THC work?
It has partial stimulant properties on special receptors in the central nervous system.

So what are it's effects on the body?
SHORT TERM:
Acute effects may include anxiety and panic, impaired attention and memory (2/?)
an increased risk of psychotic symptoms (as it is hallucinogenic), the inability to think clearly, and an increased risk of accidents.

Now if taken with other substances, it adds the weight of effects of cannabis to the body, increasing more adverse effect outcomes. (3/?)
LONG TERM USE
Chronic heavy marijuana smoking is associated with coughing, production of sputum, wheezing, and other symptoms of chronic bronchitis.
The AVAILABLE EVIDENCE DOES NOT SUPPORT a causal relationship between cannabis use and chronic obstructive pulmonary DISEASE. (4/?)
Short-term use of cannabis is associated with bronchodilation. Other side effects of cannabis use include cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) - Basically, some people puke a lot after "puff, puff, pass".
So pharmacology of Weed DOES NOT include tobacco. (5/?)
Now let's come to TOBACCO, concentrating on Cigarettes.

Cigarettes are made from the synthetic process of "reconstituted tobacco" product known as "sheet", which consists of "recycled [tobacco] stems, stalks, scraps, collected dust, and floor sweepings", (6/?)
to which are added glue, chemicals and fillers; the product is then sprayed with nicotine that was extracted from the tobacco scraps, and shaped into curls.
Most modern cigarettes are filtered, although this does not make them safer. (7/?)
Cigarettes are ALSO addictive (We shall talk about substance addiction another day/night), because of NICOTINE and leads most commonly to diseases affecting the heart, liver, and lungs, being a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, (8/?)
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer). It also causes peripheral vascular disease and hypertension. (9/?)
Children born to women who smoke during pregnancy are at higher risk of congenital disorders, cancer, respiratory disease, and sudden death. On average, each cigarette smoked is estimated to SHORTEN life by 11 minutes. (10/?)
Cigarettes produce an aerosol containing over 4,000 chemical compounds, including nicotine, carbon monoxide, acrolein, and oxidant substances. Over 70 of these are carcinogens.

That is also why "second hand smokers" also may develop cancer over time of exposure. (11/?)
And that @btzfessions is how you get schooled into not believing anything on the web.
