RT AFTER VOTING (thread)

i’m probably going to do a book cover beauty pageant, in which you will all vote for which book cover you find the most visually appealing. would you be interested and vote?

the thread below will explain how the pageant will work

okay! so here’s how it’s gonna go! if the poll above gets enough votes, and we go through with this, the following will happen:

i will post my own personal nominations in a thread, and you will vote by liking! in this thread, you will also be allowed to nominate your own

covers, and people will like your nominations and be counted as a vote. this thread will stay open until about sunday at midnight central time. then, next monday (august 17th) the official pageant will begin with the nominations!

the pageant will be divided into categories of 10 books max. you will vote every week until 1 book is left in each category, and then the final pageant will begin.

CATEGORIES:
-non-fiction and memoirs
-science fiction
-fantasy
-romance (if there are at least 10 nominations)
-mystery (if there are at least 10 nominations)
-horror
-realistic fiction
-poetry
-thriller

these categories may be altered if there are not enough nominations +

or if there are enough nominations of other genres.

i’m planning this all as i go, and i’m not even sure if this will actually happen. so please vote and share so it can happen.

the winners’ prizes have yet to be determined. i’ll list my idea below:

-each cover will have an orgination/charity/small business linked to it. if it wins one of the primaries/overall smaller pageants it will receive:
3rd place: a boost from me
2nd place: a small donation/purchase/commission plus a boost
1st place: undecided (suggestions?)

keep in mind that i’m 15, and there’s going to be a LOT of pageants for each genre and the final pageant has to be big. i can’t do much, especially with my small following. commissions and purchases will probably be very small, until the final pageant.

the final pageant prizes are also undecided, so please leave suggestions. again, keep in mind that i’m an unemployed 15 year old so i can’t make massive donations right now, and i’m literally making this up as i type this thread.

if this gains enough traction, i will be posting official rules and regulations in a separate thread. i’ll keep you all posted, and please boost this
