Today I visited a ghost-town called London.

I was there for work for the first time since !arch and it was both shocking and upsetting to see a city which has survived so much with its heart ripped out of it by a virus.
Office blocks completely empty save for forlorn security guards with no-one to search.

Empty squares and piazzas. Seating with commanding views of the Thames, as empty as the river herself, devoid of most of the usual traffic.

Empty buses stopping at empty bus stops.
A restaurant proudly announcing his bit had been arriving fine Italian cuisine since 1991, closed.

Big chain eateries which haven't reopened. And others with 50% of their tables empty.

Borough market with a fraction of its usual stalls and bustle.

Shocking...
