If you wonder how poor people stay poor - whenever I deposit a check in my bank the funds are never available to me all at once. The bank slowly gives me access to the money in small amounts over the period of weeks.

They informed me they do this because I have a low balance
What that means is that I often incur late fees and take hits to my credit because I don't actually have access to my own money.

So it ends up being more expensive to have less money.
It's frankly outrageous that this is legal.
Everyone stop telling me to get a credit union.

I know how banking works I don't need advice, I'm simply sharing information.
