I've seen several papers lately proposing brain growth charts.

I don't think we have the data because:

1. Growth charts that we use for e.g. height and weight are based on hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of observations.

2. Measuring height can be done much more accurately than brain volume.

3. Representation matters (2/3)
Finally, there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that as a field we're just not there. I have been taken aback by the number of papers I'm seeing proposing brain growth charts. I think it can be damaging to move too fast here...(3/3)
