theory thread on why I think Clarke and Bellamy might both die at the end of The 100đŸ„ș
this thread is not gonna be excessively through just a few quick thoughts so bear with me
So I think that one of the main messages of the show has been about what happens after death. The concept of death not being the end is mentioned a lot in the show.

1st example is “may we meet again”. They say it even when someone dies. One day the other will die too, so MWMA.
“May we meet again” indicates concept of the afterlife (however you believe in it, if you do at all). Rebirth or heaven/hell or whatever it is, one day, maybe we will meet again in different circumstances, different bodies, different states, etc.
“The Other Side”. Big one to me. 4x11 literally called this verbatim and is about what happens on the other side of the bunker door. The ones outside didn’t know what was going on inside and the inside folk didn’t know what was going on outside.
3x13 “Join or die”, Jasper drinks the stuff that knocks them all out and says “see you on the other side”. (Also, Bellamy and Clarke take the drink together and they pass out with B looking after C as he passes out).
“Other Side” by GAITS. This song has become a Bellarke anthem and the name and lyrics “I know I’ll see you on the other side”, “wait for me ... it’s not the end...” “longing inside of my chest for what could have been” “tell the sender that I’m ready to see you again”
The song is saying that death takes you to the other side. The “sender” can be seen as “the cause of death”. (For example, if you stab me and I die, you’re the sender that’s sending me to the other side.”) I think this also implies that one of them dies and the other dies a
short while after and kNOWS THEYRE going to die, hence “wait for me... it’s not the end”. Also the atmosphere and deliberate GOLDen lighting over the intimate bellarke hug in 6x13 while the song plays, “fields of GOLD” - cinematic masterpiece yup yup
Next is something Jaha says in Day Trip when Bellamy is hallucinating him. “You don’t deserve the peace of death.” Bellamy wanted to die bc he didn’t feel he deserved to live but then hallucinated that he didn’t deserve to die. Maybe views death as an escape.
I think that if anyone deserves peace in this show, it’s our two leads (I use the term Lead loosely in this godforsaken season but anyway) (also Octavia deserves peace too but that’s not this thread). Bellamy and Clarke deserve peace. And while I don’t want them to die for it-
The “peace of death” was a line that resonated since season 1 and makes an impact when referring to the leads who’ve sacrificed so much to save other people. They’ve endured so much it’s ridiculous. It would make sense if they made one last sacrifice this season before dying.
also: Knocking on Heaven’s Door - also a bellarke anthem I s2g. Played over them while they said their goodbyes to each other at the end of S2 (as well as “May we meet again”👀)
next: Jason is anti bellarke stans that it would make sense to me that he’d give us bellarke only after they die. He’d probably keep *cho and Bellamy together until he dies. Neither part of the fandom really “wins” in this case. *cho gets him in life, Clarke gets him in death.
Also it’s just passive aggressive enough for Jason to pull it off. “Oh you want Bellarke? Ok, ok. But they’re both gonna die first.”
Them dying together would also prove what Jason said YEARS ago about Bellarke being “the central relationship” in the show.
I’ll add more when I think of things
