theory thread on why I think Clarke and Bellamy might both die at the end of The 100

this thread is not gonna be excessively through just a few quick thoughts so bear with me
So I think that one of the main messages of the show has been about what happens after death. The concept of death not being the end is mentioned a lot in the show.
1st example is âmay we meet againâ. They say it even when someone dies. One day the other will die too, so MWMA.

âMay we meet againâ indicates concept of the afterlife (however you believe in it, if you do at all). Rebirth or heaven/hell or whatever it is, one day, maybe we will meet again in different circumstances, different bodies, different states, etc.
âThe Other Sideâ. Big one to me. 4x11 literally called this verbatim and is about what happens on the other side of the bunker door. The ones outside didnât know what was going on inside and the inside folk didnât know what was going on outside.
3x13 âJoin or dieâ, Jasper drinks the stuff that knocks them all out and says âsee you on the other sideâ. (Also, Bellamy and Clarke take the drink together and they pass out with B looking after C as he passes out).
âOther Sideâ by GAITS. This song has become a Bellarke anthem and the name and lyrics âI know Iâll see you on the other sideâ, âwait for me ... itâs not the end...â âlonging inside of my chest for what could have beenâ âtell the sender that Iâm ready to see you againâ
The song is saying that death takes you to the other side. The âsenderâ can be seen as âthe cause of deathâ. (For example, if you stab me and I die, youâre the sender thatâs sending me to the other side.â) I think this also implies that one of them dies and the other dies a
short while after and kNOWS THEYRE going to die, hence âwait for me... itâs not the endâ. Also the atmosphere and deliberate GOLDen lighting over the intimate bellarke hug in 6x13 while the song plays, âfields of GOLDâ - cinematic masterpiece yup yup
Next is something Jaha says in Day Trip when Bellamy is hallucinating him. âYou donât deserve the peace of death.â Bellamy wanted to die bc he didnât feel he deserved to live but then hallucinated that he didnât deserve to die. Maybe views death as an escape.
I think that if anyone deserves peace in this show, itâs our two leads (I use the term Lead loosely in this godforsaken season but anyway) (also Octavia deserves peace too but thatâs not this thread). Bellamy and Clarke deserve peace. And while I donât want them to die for it-
The âpeace of deathâ was a line that resonated since season 1 and makes an impact when referring to the leads whoâve sacrificed so much to save other people. Theyâve endured so much itâs ridiculous. It would make sense if they made one last sacrifice this season before dying.
also: Knocking on Heavenâs Door - also a bellarke anthem I s2g. Played over them while they said their goodbyes to each other at the end of S2 (as well as âMay we meet againâ
)

next: Jason is anti bellarke stans that it would make sense to me that heâd give us bellarke only after they die. Heâd probably keep *cho and Bellamy together until he dies. Neither part of the fandom really âwinsâ in this case. *cho gets him in life, Clarke gets him in death.
Also itâs just passive aggressive enough for Jason to pull it off. âOh you want Bellarke? Ok, ok. But theyâre both gonna die first.â
Them dying together would also prove what Jason said YEARS ago about Bellarke being âthe central relationshipâ in the show.
Iâll add more when I think of things
