Another art account was hacked, Kat Hudson. Report/block @/frismForex
Let& #39;s talk about these hacks since people get confused and spread false info:
1. TURN ON 2 FACTOR AUTHORIZATION FOR LOG IN NOW
2. These accounts do not force you to follow them
3. "Hacking" is an exaggeration

If you want to pedal your crappy product/sell your scam, it& #39;s far easier to purchase or steal a big account than try and gain a following from scratch. If you allow untrustworthy apps to access your Twitter they COULD make you follow someone, but usually it& #39;s an account re-named
Say, you follow @ funny pics daily. They post dumb content and get 100K followers. Brand X goes "I& #39;ll buy your account for a lot of real dollars"
@ funny pics daily can suddenly become @ shitty brand no one cares about. Twitter allowing re-names is a double edged sword.

Sadly, what often happens is brand X posts phishing links. NEVER click mystery links. It could take you to a site that steals your cookies or tries to get your passwords OR is a fake log in screen to get you to give them your password.
Suddenly they get a big account for free.

Typically Brand X then will unfollow everyone, wipe the old content, & start posting their bullshit. At this point you aren& #39;t in danger of anything by following them other than spam (Unless you click those links just DO NOT CLICK THEM). Report them as stolen, block. Find the OG.
With 2 factor authentication you give yourself protection. If your password is stolen, they CANNOT log into your account without your phone as well. You will also get a handy email telling you someone tried to log in. Do yourself a favor turn this on for ALL your big accounts.
