1/ I actually think it’s dangerous that this woman is allowed to teach kids - this is completely at odds with empirical evidence, it’s denialism

The ethnic minority kids she teaches could internalise this, and think that racism that holds them back is *their* fault
2/ I don’t entirely know why people like Katharine are the way that they are, but I have a feeling they’ll look back on their life and regret a lot of what they do

Because this is a hot mess - and not even just on a race basis, but on a class basis as well
3/ You’ve got ethnic minorities and/or working class people that work two/three jobs + and struggle to make ends meet

Yet Katherine is out here saying hard work is the key - no, it’s not, not in a classist and racist society

Her level of clownery makes me cringe
4/ I say this as a Black working class kid that went to Cambridge and saw how twisted our society is along both race and class

The most privileged people in this country often work the least hard - to deny that is just straight up lying
