Runty was born 18 years ago on 5/29/02. He was born when I was 3 going on 4. He was the smallest baby and his mother did not want him. We did (myself especially). We weren't sure he was going to make it, but in the end, he lived longer than all of his siblings and his parents.
He spent every one of his 9 lives, and a few times I think he spent more than one. He survived PU surgery, many abscesses from his country days defending the house from raccoons and dogs, and in 2015 when we discovered he was diabetic.
This old gentleman has seen me through all of school, the suicides of 2 friends, the bad side effects of the wrong medication, my parents divorcing, 3 moves, my first tattoo, and so much more.
I knew he wouldn't be around much longer, and that's why I made this page. He was such a silly, rowdy old man full of sass and love that I wanted to share that personality and love with all of you.
I'm so glad that you all had the chance to love him like he deserved. It's going to be hard, and the house is going to be quiet without his pawsteps and 4 am cat opera, but we won't be giving up. And this definitely won't be the last cat I own or grieve.
And you out there grandkits: don't you give up either, ok? The world is tough, and life is hard; But sometimes, it lets a little runny egg run your way, and someone will give you some good chin scratches.

Thank you for sharing his last couple years.
We will be donating his insulin, syringes, and food to our vet's office.

As for what he does of, he had fluid around his lungs formed from what we believe is an issue with his heart.

He made it home after the vet, and not even 5 minutes later, he passed away looking outside.
