do not get a frog (specifically white's tree frog, though this can apply to others) if you
-can't handle live bugs
-aren't willing to feed them live bugs
-can't handle them peeing on you
-aren't willing to clean things DAILY
-aren't willing to spend upwards of 600 dollars
i forgot to mention this, but they live upwards of 20 years. when people say these frogs are low maintenance, they are. however, they still require care. they're not display pets, if you get a male, they will croak. loudly. all. night. also don't use tap water unless you dechlo-
-rinate the water. you can get amphibian dechlorinator cheap and it'll last a while. this thread might scare you into not getting frogs, which i'm not trying to do. they're lovely pets, especially for beginners. but you need to care for them properly.
also, some pointers for wild frogs/toads.
don't handle them for too long unless you have to.
don't try to set them so they're sitting like a person. they can't breathe like that
expect them to pee on you if you're not gentle. they might do that even if you are gentle though
You can follow @CEOof_frogs.
