Building off a fantastic #AED webinar with @__LAnderson__ & @KelsieForbush on handling rejection in academia, I’m curious #AcademicTwitter- what’s your biggest academic rejection to date? Were you able to effectively reframe or use that rejection to push you forward?
I’ll go first- I think one of my biggest rejection was having an F32 application not discussed. Even though I didn’t up resubmitting, I’ve been able to use pieces of the applications for other stuff, & am still conducting the project on a smaller scale with collaborators!
Have also been able to share the app with other students (alongside the reviews) considering an F application so they can see what the pieces look like. So even though it wasn’t funded, can use the time put in to help others in some way!
