Just want to remind everyone that Blockbuster Video was bad. All those mom and pop video stores everyone on here is so nostalgic for? Blockbuster wasn't like that. Blockbuster killed those. Blockbuster also refused to stock anything unrated or NC-17. Blockbuster was bad.
Horror film twitter loves video stores, and people too young to remember equate that love with Blockbuster- but no. Blockbuster didn't have a huge horror section with lots of salacious low-budget and foreign slasher films. Every Blockbuster had the same 12 horror movies.
The horror section at every Blockbuster Video only had 5 of the Friday the 13th movies, as if no store was allowed to have the entire franchise at any given time. Every store was missing one Nightmare on Elm Street and two Halloweens, but had the entire Mirror Mirror franchise.
Dear other video stores, what's preventing you from looking like this?
