Very cool to have dickheads like this calling me “right wing” (uh...) and then calling me a dude. Very cool, totally going to win me over, buddy. https://twitter.com/decentralized01/status/1293220668197294080?s=21 https://twitter.com/decentralized01/status/1293220668197294080
Fine. Dear shithead who flooded my mentions calling me “right wing” and a man. I will explain the tweet to you since you are slow on the uptake. https://twitter.com/decentralized01/status/1293222200598827010?s=21 https://twitter.com/decentralized01/status/1293222200598827010
1. By publicly pouting about not speaking, it sent a signal to his fans to demand that he be allowed to speak.

2. And so now that’s a hashtag. About him. About how he was wronged or whatever. When again, I’m willing to bet that he could have worked something out with organizers.
3. By turning this into a thing where he was “wronged” or “snubbed” or “not allowed” to speak however people are framing it, it becomes centered on him. As an individual. It becomes a “controversy” that he wasn’t asked to speak.

4. This is all exhausting.
Me: points out how counterproductive it is to publicly pout about not being asked to speak at a convention because it just riles up your intense and extremely online fans

His fans who are going around name searching so they can yell at people: [prove my point]
Just got to laugh at the idea that I’m further to the right than the guy who rushed to defend Bari Weiss when she *chose* to quit her job
Here’s what I’m talking about: “here for the ratio” and then adding the hashtag his superfans are all rallying around to dogpile people. This is not and has never been a great way to express your support for a candidate.

Also, it’s weird to be a superfan for any politician!
“Let’s go”

It’s all about rallying people to harass others in their mentions. So fucking tired of this shit.
There are a *lot* of 2020 Dem candidates who aren’t on the schedule. Steyer, Bloomberg, Gabbard, Williamson, O’Rourke, de Blasio, Gillibrand, Inslee, Hickenlooper, Swalwell, Bullock, Castro, etc.
And aside from Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, and Sally Yates, every other speaker has held elected office before
Genuinely can’t emphasize enough how quickly someone’s use of terms like “triggered” or “virtue signaling” makes their point completely irrelevant to me
That’s not true.

Steyer and Bloomberg were in the race longer than Yang (which, to be fair, was because they were just spending their own money so how long they stayed in wasn’t really tied to support) https://twitter.com/mmarco21/status/1293234087914663939?s=21 https://twitter.com/mmarco21/status/1293234087914663939
The decision to give Kasich a speaking spot feels like the decision to give Bloomberg one in 2016, meant to give anti-Trump Republicans an off-ramp. I don’t know that it was a particularly good decision in 2016 given [gestures at everything], but 🤷🏻‍♀️
