There's this speck called 'Earth' sitting in the void of space in orbit around an average star, there are life forms on that speck called 'humans' SOME of who are so sure 'tHerE iS nOthIng uP ThEre'

We have energy problems down here, the Universe has limitless supply of energy, one star explodes it literally outshines the galaxy! Imagine if we could extract that

And you are telling me there's nothing up there?

We have people fighting wars over here on natural resources, killing each other over religious authorities

There are asteroids in our solar system that have more gold on them than have ever been mined in the history of the world

And you are telling me there nothing up there?

An Astrophysicist from the last century was an expert in studying atomic nuclei while looking at nebulae through a telescope! He found that those nuclei resonate w magnetic fields in a certain way(those are just details) he won a nobel prize for that, you know what happened next?

Later on a medical technologist figured out a way to make a machine out this discovery, out of that came THE MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) literally revolutionizing medical field saving thousands of lives

You know, The GPS/ Google maps that tells your phone where you are & where to pick up the groceries relies on Einstein's general relativity, one of the biggest breakthroughs in Astrophysics

And you are telling me there's nothing up there?

You know, the information in yo 6 inch diameter hard drive that stores your movies, pictures, memories, videos is based on Black hole physics worked out by Stephen Hawking and Jacob Bekenstein last year

And you are telling me there's nothing up there?

A computer algorithm for images of star clusters & galaxies captured by @NASAHubble that I show you guys often was invented back when the original Hubble telescope mirror was found to be defective, turns out the algorithm was shown to be ideal to detect breast cancer!

The electrical circuits in your phone and other electronics are all trecebale to space exploration

You fly from one country to another by using airplanes, the aerodynamical engineering is literally based on how space exploration works, the first a in @NASA stands for aeronautics!

You know these replies were to just inform you that what space exploration has done here, there are tons of other things! But my first answer to this question would be that we are born curious, we are born Scientists, we like to look up at the stars and

Wonder about our place in the universe, we always ask questions like what's up there? Why does the sun shine? Why do stars twinkle? Even poets & writers use it to glorify their art metaphorically and I love to see it! Every little child is born with a flower of Curiosity

It's not entirely their fault that their flowers are crushed under the rock of unnecessary competitive education system!

One last thing I would like to add is that billions of years ago stars exploded, they scattered their enriched guts of Elements across the galaxy forming planets and life Eventually, every atom in your body is traceable to those giant STARS!

Yes you read that correctly you my friends are made of STARS! i smile when I think about it, It uplifts me whenever I'm sad, this awareness is a gift of 20th century Astrophysics to our civilization!
