Actionable allyship in law

Senior white male counsel called & noted that I was being bullied by opposing counsel, also wm. I knew & was ignoring. Black women lawyers are experts at redirection

He addressed w/ arbitrator & offered to file a law society complaint 1/ #lawtwitter
When I was consulted & proactively presented w/ solutions this ally used his expertise & privilege to take action so I wouldn't be solely burdened by what saint Toni Morrison taught us is the distraction of racism (read broader "isms") from our true work 2/ #ToniMorrison
What lingered though was the affirmation that came w/ the rare willingness to confront bullying in a legal proceeding

The interrupted normalization of racial gendered discrimination created space - I checked my cognitive dissonance from isms that I'm scarily accustomed to 3/
So, actionable allyship exists in law
