The removal of #johnswinney from office would do precisely zero to improve our education system or to benefit the children on whom it should be centred. This is why people hate politics. It’s corrosive guff. Education needs systemic change (led by JS), not tokenistic change.

I also remain of the view I had last week. If an outsider looking in (ie someone not intoxicated by our politics) they would look at the system employed and say “that’s broadly fair enough”.

Oh finally, for those currently texting and DMing me, this is not an endorsement of anything. With 4 kids in the state system I am appalled at what I see daily. It’s a national catastrophe. But an SNP MSP will be edu sec till 2026. And JS has the gravitas for revolution.
