Thread (obviously)

Donât make your first tweet in the thread too long. The shorter the better with buzz words that get peopleâs attention.
A gif or a picture will also help to make your thread stand out on a timeline.
Quick Tip - Be Controversial
No one likes someone who sits on the fence. Mention something crazy in the first tweet to get people outraged and reading.
Even if your thread doesnât even mention that thing again.
âRashford eats babies for nourishmentâ is a good example.

Everyone likes chatting about the big boys. Any chats that include a Liverpool or Man Utd player is sure to get responses.
If you really want to go big, mention they might not be good next year. Instant likes and comments!
Quick Tip - Dismiss KDB
A big one. If you discuss ditching a high profile, well owned player you can be sure to get a tonne of replies from the twitter community.
If youâre worried about going all out on this, just say you wonât captain him. Thatâll do the trick too.

Gifs can make or break a good thread. When used properly they can sum up what youâve said. When used badly they just distract.
Unless itâs essential, I would avoid. Unless itâs your thing, then go crazy.
Quick Tip - Practise Photoshop
No one can argue against what youâve said if youâve edited the stats. Just make sure you use the right font or people will know youâve faked the data or your OR.
I obviously donât condone this. This is tongue in cheek

Donât make your thread too long or too short. Around 7-10 tweets is usually enough as long as itâs not waffle.
Too long and people donât read it. Too short and people donât think itâs worthwhile.
Quick Tip - Spell Check
Make sure to spell check your thread. Thereâs nothing worse than reading your thread back on the timeline and noticing a mistake.
Writing âlessons too lurnâ is never a good look.

The unofficial king of threads, @FPL_Swe, has been successfully doing them for quite a while.
Iâd never condone copying someone, but read and see how he does it and try one of your own.
Quick Tip - Donât Copy
Nothing worse than being found out for copying other peopleâs work. Itâs actually something you might struggle to come back from.
Collaboration is better than imitation.

Donât write about what everyone else has already written. Another thread on âFulham Left Back Optionsâ will make us all want to die a slow death.
Think about something that hasnât been looked at and have at it.
Quick Tip - Know When To Post
If there isnât much to say, then donât tweet. Weâre already saturated with content so you donât want to be lost in the noise.
Also, never post on a Sunday. People are too busy tucking into their roast dinners.

Go for stats if theyâre your things but avoid if theyâre not. Once you start on that path itâs hard to go back.
Equally the same with humour. No point trying to be funny if youâre not. Thatâs why I avoid it

Quick Tip - Stats Need a Layout
Posting tonnes of numbers on a tweet can be confusing, so a screenshot of data in an easy to see format can be better.
Donât be offended if people donât like the numbers. Some people will never use data in FPL.

Using emojis can really help your thread stand out but can also be off putting if used too frequently.
Use them as bullet points and be consistent. There are so many available.

Trust in your thread. I know itâs tempting to tag everyone in the hope for countless RTs but sometimes itâs better to put it out there and hope it gains natural traction.
Itâs a steady climb.
Quick Tip - Donât Be a Pest
On the same page as the last tweet, sliding into peopleâs DMs isnât usually the best way to ask for RTs. Especially if youâre doing it for every thread.
If an account you know has now closed their DMs, you now know why!

Finish with a conclusive tweet that also asks the community a question. This promotes engagement which, in the grand scheme of things, is what twitter is all about.
Then make sure to respond to people when they comment.
