How Can Make R100k A Month On A Poultry Level When You Have Mastered Your Market.

Thread:
Before everything else you need to factor in your pricing of your product. In this way you not only targeting your normal customers who buys chicken for consumption but you also targeting other farmers, Shisa Nyamas etc.
It is very true that with pricing your chickens R90 + you will hardly reach this goal quicker as you will find it challenging to even sell out 200 Chickens in a month therefore your ranging price should be +/-R50 per bird. For example my regular customers on average they buy 400
Chickens every month at R80 and they are happy with that price because around where I'm from Chickens are R90+ so you than get atleast 8 clients who will buy and resell from you now where they will be buying 1 chicken at R50 each with 100 birds each total of 800 birds
800 birds x R50 that's R40k at most you would have spent R20k on cost so we classify these 8 customers as "formal market" especially with the Shisa Nyama guys who uses 1.5kg to 1.8kg size chickens.
If your regular customers that buys chickens from you at R80 what's going to happen when you are Raising 2500 chickens and telling them that chickens are now R50, what's gonna happen to your Clientele? It will grow rapidly.. Of course this comes with not being on your comfortzone
Before raising 2500 chickens you need to get set and fixed clients that will need certain number of chickens monthly or weekly from you, just like this morning where someone wants me to supply them with 5000 chickens (unfortunately I don't have 5000 chickens)
Again The goal is not to rush to the target of R100k by pricing your Chickens R90+ the aim is to push as many chickens as you can at a lower cost and by you doing that your brand will grow more people will come to know of R50 chickens selling at a D Section KwaMashu (e.g)
If you are doing 200 birds per cycle at the moment and selling at R50 to informal market than... Its going to be Hard all I can say to you.. Raise the number of chickens you raising per cycle to start seeing good profits.
