Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood clarified that formulating SNC is an inclusive process.

After scathing criticism by Dr Ayehsa on SNC that was published in TheNews article, Shafqat Mehmood requested her to join the SNC conferences but she didn't reply.

SNC is being formulated in consultation with all provincial governments.

Shafqat Mehmood clarified:

•Cthe curriculum will keep evolving as it's not a static thing.

• There will be a permanent National curriculum committee for reviews

•Positive suggestions will be incorporated.

•In 1st five years children will be taught in their local language.

•National curriculum council was formed which has a representation of all provinces including AJK & GB, Elite schools & Madrassahs.

•Cambridge was engaged to look at SNC SLOs

SNC is the 1st step for a very long process.

SNC doesn't mean it will solve our education issues. But it's an important step for learning outcomes.

•For Nazra & Islamiat, SNC is not directing Private Schools or Public schools to hire a Qari or Madrassah graduate.

•SNC has no mandate for it and it will be up to the private schools and provinces to decide who they hire.
